Thank you for your interest in Prevention PLUS programs. The following will give you a list of the programs offered, requirements for each and the documentation needed for admission.
1. Forest Park Street School: This is the Monday-Friday 9:30-3:35 pm program for high school students in grades 9-12 ranging in ages between 15 and 20.
*Necessary Documentation: Current transcript, discipline record, immunization, birth certificate, social security card, withdrawal form, documentation of government subsidies or pay stubs.
2. Independent Study Program: This is a Street School Academy service that offers Clayton County high school seniors an opportunity to finish their diploma on an independent basis. Students come in once a week to drop off work that they have completed at home and pick up more to complete until they have finished credits needed for graduation.
*Necessary Documentation: Current transcript, discipline record, immunization, birth certificate, social security card, withdrawal form, documentation of government subsidies or pay stubs.
3. Credit Recovery Program: This is a Street School Academy service that assists public school students who need to make a credit that they have previously failed. The fees for this program are as follows: Each .5 credit is $125 up to 2.0 credits max
*Necessary Documentation: credit summary report from the student's school counselor with a notation authorizing coursework.
4. Youthbuild Program: The YouthBuild Program in Forest Park, GA is a 12-18 month education/construction/leadership development program geared toward training young adults ages 18-24 to be successful in the workplace. YouthBuild has partnerships with Forest Park Street School and Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity which provide education and job-skills training.

5. Dual Credit Program: For students interested in dual credit classes at Clayton State University or Atlanta Technical College, we monitor transcripts and assist with college access paperwork. Many of these students qualify for the Hope Grant or scholarship and need guidance to obtain those funds. Classes with the Street School Academy are offered if needed.
