Prevention PLUS, Inc. exists to serve these students. Its purpose is to provide wholistic knowledge and opportunities to youth who have not been adequately served in traditional educational environments. Prevention PLUS program graduates go on to excel personally, socially and vocationally and compete on an international scale.
Prevention PLUS, Inc. provides unique programming designed to optimize student success. Three distinguished programs represent the organization: Forest Park Street School, Street School Academy and YouthBuild. Each is designed to address the unique needs and challenges of youth who have not succeeded in the public school arena. All are targeted to help youth between the ages of 14-24 earn a High School Diploma or GED, develop leadership skills, gain necessary work-readiness skills, acquire industry recognized certifications, and succeed at post-secondary transition.
Prevention PLUS, Inc. is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization, accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Georgia Accrediting Commission. The organization's philosophy is aligned with The Street School Network, a nationwide network which focuses on meeting the challenges of at-risk youth by working with member schools to provide personalized, comprehensive education, character development and tools for self-sufficiency.
