The SACS accreditation process is a rigorous one in which an experienced team of evaluators spend time observing and interviewing students, staff, parents, and stakeholders of a subject school.  The team uses the AdvancED Standards for Quality as an evaluation tool to determine whether or not the subject school meets the criteria for accreditation.

AdvancED Standards for Quality are:

•             Standard 1:  Purpose and Direction
•       Standard 2:  Governance and Leadership
•       Standard 3:  Teaching and Assessing for Learning
•       Standard 4:  Resources and Support Systems
•       Standard 5:  Using Results for Continuous Improvement

We are proud of this recommendation as it serves to assure students, parents, and community members of our constant commitment to continuous improvement in providing a quality education and opportunities for postsecondary educational pursuits to our students. 

The Communications Policy is one of several organizational policies that were revised for 2013. Other statements—including the Process for Review and Revision of Mission, Vision, and Value statements, Data Review Policy, Professional Development Policy, Conflict of Interest Policy, and Code of Ethics—were updated as well.

Prevention PLUS policy statements serve to inform staff, the general public, partners, and other stakeholders about the organization’s priorities. The statements also support our commitment to maintain the accreditation standards set forth by AdvancED.
