We invite you to join the Street School Cadet Squadron!! 

WHO CAN JOIN?

Cadets:  Ages 14 through 18 are eligible

Senior Members:  All ages 18 and up, all interests are welcome!  You do not have to be prior or current military to join. You do not have to be a pilot.

1.        Use the websites above for introductory information.  You are welcome to visit any of our squadron meetings.

2.        Schedule an appointment with Capt. Marybeth Leavell, squadron commander.

3.        Fill out the cadet application and return it completed along with check for membership dues.  Depending on financial qualifications, first year National dues may be waived.
         Annual Membership fee for Cadets:  National = $30
         Annual Membership fee for Senior Members:  National=$69 

OTHER INFORMATION

Cadets are eligible for a free Dress Blue uniform based upon availability.  BDU’s will need to be purchased.  Uniform for senior members consists of gray slacks and CAP shirt and are purchased by the senior member.

Meetings are Mondays and Wednesdays, 2:55 – 4:45 pm weekly.  Encampments and special events are offered in conjunction with other squadrons and within our group.

Scholarships are available for cadets based on grade and time in the program, see www.cap.gov/scholarships.  Advancement in the full military may also apply.  Course areas include aerospace education, leadership, moral leadership and physical fitness.  Each cadet is challenged to pass tests in the four course areas to advance, resulting in ribbons and grade insignias.

All cadets will receive free orientation flights in civil air patrol aircraft, and can develop new leadership skills while exploring aerospace careers.  Cadets also will receive training and assist in CAP’s emergency search and rescue missions.
